Why Is Delhi Government Silent On Charges Of Massive Scam In Its New Excise Policy?
Is it not the duty of any honest and upright government to initiate a high-level enquiry in allegations of such serious nature?
“I decided it is better to scream. Silence is the real crime against humanity”, once said Russian Writer Nadezhda Mandelstam. But on the contrary, an eerie silence prevails over charges of massive scam in the newly introduced Excise Policy of Delhi. And that too from the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government, which is known to be more than vocal on any issue, big or small.

It seems chinks in the armour have been exposed as far as the new Excise Policy of Delhi has been announced. Industry sources say that this is the same old wine, appearing to be in a new bottle. Old players, are out in the field again, but were not recognized as they had put on different masks this time around to hoodwink the industry players. But as they stand exposed, the very basic purpose of the New Excise Policy of Delhi, which intended to cleanse the system, has gone for a six, outside the stadium, it seems. These words may be sounding quite harsh, but are not far from the naked reality of the modern world.
The allegations of substantial compromise in 6 Zones of Delhi, allegedly done by the Balaji Group, Indospirit Group and Som Group Group of Companies, should be deeply investigated by an independent agency and it is high time that the Delhi Government should take serious steps and come out clean from this messy situation which could hurt the business sentiment in the alcobev industry.
