650 lockers found in basement of former IPS house
Rs. 5.77 crore recovered and IT Department still counting

Income tax raids department raided the house of former IPS in Noida. The IT team was baffled after finding 650 lockers in the basement of the house. Initial recovery of unaccounted cash is said to be Rs. 5 crore 77 lakh so far. The raids were carried out at the residence of former IPS officer Ram Narayan Singh in Sector -50 of Noida. Singh’s son Suyash and his family live there. At the same time, the former IPS officer and his wife live in Mirzapur.
According to sources, the cash was kept in the building’s basement from where Singh also ran a firm. The IT team is also probing to determine whether the former IPS has any links with benami property. Singh is an IPS of the 1983 batch and has had plum postings in Uttar Pradesh in his career.
