Pune Porsche Accident: Juvenile’s grandfather arrested for ‘forcing’ driver to take blame

According to the reports, the police can also slap kidnapping charges against the teen's grandfather Surendra Agarwal.

The Pune Police arrested the grandfather of the teenager, who crushed two techies under his Porsche car while driving and killed them, for confining the family driver in wrongful ways and forcing him to take the blame for the accident.
According to the reports, the police can also slap kidnapping charges against the teen’s grandfather Surendra Agarwal.
On Friday (May 24), Pune Police said that the family had started forcing the driver to take the blame minutes after the accident occurred in which Aneesh Awadhiya and his partner Ashwini Koshta were killed.
As per the report, the driver was locked by the grandfather and was appealed to take the blame in place of the minor. The driver was also assured that he would be released scot-free in the case, as per the reports.
CP Pune Amitesh Kumar said, “The grandfather of the minor accused has been arrested by the Crime Branch unit of Pune Police. A separate FIR has been registered against him under IPC 365 and 368.”
The police arrested Agarwal from his residence at 3 am after registering a new case with the Pune crime branch. This is the third FIR which has been filed in the Pune Porsche crash case.
Surendra Agarwal was earlier questioned by the Pune crime branch to know more about his son and grandson, and what conversations they had on the day of the accident.
The driver came to the scene after the juvenile’s father Vishal Agarwal claimed that it was their family driver who was behind the wheel when the accident happened.
The driver was also interrogated by the police after which Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar confirmed the attempts being made to frame the innocent family driver.
