The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have red-handedly, arrested a Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police on charges of taking bribe. Alarmingly, Rs. One Crore Twelve Lakhs in cash have been recovered from the sub-inspector. CBI spokesperson RC Joshi said that Sub-Inspector Bhojraj Singh has been arrested while accepting a bribe of fifty thousand rupees from the complainant. Sub-Inspector Bhojraj Singh is posted at Maidan Garhi Police Station in South district.

According to the CBI, a police case had been registered against Honey Tyagi alias Manoj and his friend Anuj at Maidan Garhi Police Station on 23 August, 2021, and the duo had been charged with assault and threatening to kill. Later, Honey approached the CBI and filed a complaint with the CBI and complained that the Investigating Officer of Delhi Police, Sub-Inspector Bhojraj Singh, was demanding a bribe of 5 kg laddus (Rs 5 lakh) for settling the case. The complainant also told the CBI that the Sub-Inspector told them that the “laddu” would also be eaten by his “Sahab”. Accordingly, a trap was laud and SI Bhojraj Singh was caught red-handed.
It remains to be seen whether the “Sahab” is also in the dragnet of CBI or not !
