Elections approaching, Uttarakhand Government tries to please State Media by ousting those from other states in a major e-tender
Defying PM Modi's One India Initiative, state government bars players from outside state to participate in media tender

Strange but true. Perhaps for the first time in the history of the state of Uttarakhand or India, a tender has been floated by the Information Department of the state to only acccommodate and please the state media. The startling tender notice is for e-tendering and empanellment for Internet News Mobile Application.
The technical bid document stipulates that –
a) only media firms/companies registered in Uttarakhand can participate in this tender
b) The firm/company participating in the tender should have PAN and GST registration from the state on Uttarakhand only
These two pre-conditions mean that any news organiazation from outside the state of Uttarakhand cannot participate in this tender.
Sources within the Information Department of the state told www.bharatvigilante.com on condition of anonymity that this tender has been tailor-made to accommodate some big media players of the state on instructions of a political big-wig of the state and the intent is clear – please the local media as election are round the corner.
We leave it here for our viewers to decide whether this is a fair practice or not !
