The customs officials at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in the capital city of Lucknow seized approximately 800 grams of gold from a smuggler on Wednesday. The value of this gold is estimated to be around 60 lakh in the international market. Additionally, the customs officials have detained the smuggler for interrogation.

According to customs officials, the smuggler arrived on an IndiGo Airlines flight (6E-1424) from Sharjah, UAE, to the capital’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport on Wednesday. The officials stopped a passenger for questioning based on suspicion. After thorough interrogation, the smuggler admitted to concealing gold in his private parts.

Sources indicate that the smuggler had concealed the gold by making it into a paste and hiding it in his private parts. After inspecting the smuggler, customs officials recovered 803 grams of gold from his private parts. The value of this gold in the international market is approximately 59.43 lakh rupees, according to officials.
